The Environmental Specialist position includes a strong understanding of local, state and federal laws, how to handle various situations with hazardous material, enforcing campus wide safety programs, understanding how each product can affect the environment, and perform routine audits on the company.

General Responsibilities
• Provide support to Environmental Coordinator regarding all main safety and environmental activities
• Lead the safety training and other related trainings
• Perform weekly safety audits
• Lead the compliance check with regular safety working environment measurements
• Leads education training on fire safety practices
• Performs the annual medical checks for the employees
• Evaluate the work conditions with regards chemical usage safety
• Prepares for external audits related to safety and environment
• Completes risk evaluation while implementing new production lines
• Actively perform improvement action plans regarding overall safety, line production safety and office safety
• Maintain strong communication with suppliers regarding services related to waste disposal companies, labor medicine service, etc.

Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
