Gathers compliance documentations and evidence (safety and security cases).
• Ensure that Functional Safety activities are performed according to Sensata Technologies standards and in compliance with ISO 26262.
• Support the definition of technology roadmaps from the Functional Safety point of view, including the provision of the necessary resources to implement the strategies. Be the subject-matter expert of Functional Safety for technical discussions internally and with suppliers, customers, and assessors.
• Continuously look for new opportunities to increase the internal quality in the Functional Safety activities, over the short, medium, and long term
• Detailed knowledge and proven experience with ISO 26262, familiar with automotive development and quality process. Skilled in applying ISO 26262 to multiple system domains (Electrical Powertrain, Chassis, Body, Battery Management Systems, Autonomous Driving, User Experience, Passive Safety, etc.).
• Experience with system engineering approaches (requirements engineering management, functional analysis and allocation, architectural design, review, and testing). Experience with change, configuration, and problem resolution management.
• Solid knowledge of conducting safety analysis (D-FMEA, FTA, FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, FFI). Knowledge of product development lifecycle, hardware development process.
• Working knowledge on derivation of hardware safety requirements from TSC, allocation of HW safety requirements to architectural elements and derivation of safety validation specification
• Experience in calculation of SFPM and LPFM, performing verification and validation of safety requirements
• Experience in performing impact analysis, item definition, HARA, FSC and TSC
• Experience in working with Product Cyber Security ISO21434 requirements. Skilled in performing Impact Analysis and Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment (TARA) Knowledge of state-of-the art automotive hardware and software solutions and best practices relevant to Functional Safety (Design, Test, Monitor, etc.)
• Tool knowledge: JIRA, JAMA, IBM Rational DOORS, Medini Analyze, IQRM, MS Office,
Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
QUALIFICATIONS
Functional Safety Engineer: A university degree with minimum 2 years of experience (i. e. bachelor’s degree) or a graduate degree and 1-2 years of experience (i. e. master’s degree)
