Seeking an experienced Facilities Technician
Position Summary:
- Responsible for the daily maintenance & operation of all utilities in the powerhouse including:
- Hot water boiler(s)
- Chiller(s)
- HP & Shop air compressor(s)
- Refrigerated dryers
- Various pumps
- Wastewater treatment system
- BMS system
Position Responsibilities
- Individual must be able to maintain & operate all equipment in the powerhouse & coordinate with outside vendors minimizing site disruptions. Must be able to:
- Perform daily inspections & recordings on all equipment
- Operate chillers
- Operate hot water boilers
- Open boilers for state inspections
- Operate & rebuild HP & shop air compressors
- Rebuild pumps as needed
- Operate & maintain small-scale wastewater treatment system
- Schedule OSV services when needed
Position Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a powerhouse operator
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with a BMS system
- Must be able to work independently
- In depth knowledge of MA code compliances regarding boiler inspections
- Massachusetts (2nd class min) Engineers License preferred
- CFC license preferred
- General air compressor (mechanic) rebuilding skills a must
- General computer skills
