Job Description Summary:
Job Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer You will be joining TMON agile team, with your deep knowledge you will be the main part of the team who will learn more about z/VSE and CICS TS operations and internals. Your abilities will be used to help our team with important part of product development and support which is used by some of the biggest companies all of the world.
As a Senior Software Engineer You will:
Have deep understanding of end-user requirements.
Optimize software design to leverage platform capabilities.
Provide input on designs for software enhancements and new products.
Be familiar with IBM z/VSE Assembler technologies
Take ownership of issues and communicate effectively with Support/SEs to resolve them.
Document and communicate on technical topics without direction.
Identify and proactively address problems to prevent recurrence.
Required Qualifications:
8+ years of software engineering experience in IBM z/VSE Assembler development for system software products
Extensive knowledge of z/VSE and CICS TS operations and internals
Mastery of data structures and algorithms.
Able to select data structures and algorithms to solve technical problems.
Able to write high-quality code rapidly.
Good understanding of trade-offs in solving problems that have variable levels of complexity.
Deep understanding of memory allocation and management mechanism, security mechanisms, processing allocation mechanisms of target operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with z/VSE and CICS system monitoring
Experience with source code management using Git and Bitbucket
Experience with DevOps implementation in z/VM and z/VSE environments
Writes code faster than the average developer.
Outstanding quality with few bugs in generated code.
