Strategic Partner Manager, MSSP
The Project Manager on Rapid7’s MSSP team is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Rapid7’s most strategic MSSP partners.
About the Team
As a strategic group under Rapid7’s Chief Business Officer, the MSSP Team is on a mission to build the world’s leading Security Operations platform for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs). Responsible for a core pillar of Rapid7’s corporate strategy, Rapid7’s MSSP team works cross-functionally to guide the development of new product capabilities, business systems, and operational processes that attract and retain MSSP partners, thus growing a crucial part of Rapid7’s business.
About the Role
As a key member of a high-profile team, you will work directly with Rapid7’s most strategic MSSPs to ensure their successful implementation as a strategic Rapid7 partner. By developing an intimate understanding of your partner’s unique and complex business requirements, you will be the MSSP’s primary advocate for success within Rapid7. Through consistent project management processes, you will successfully guide teams across the organization to meet the needs of the MSSP while leading your partner to successfully integrate their people, processes, and technologies with the Rapid7 platform and MSSP program.
In this role, you will:
Oversee the successful onboarding, implementation, and ongoing success of our most strategic MSSP partners
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Technical Support, Sales Engineering, and Commercial Operations to ensure the MSSP's requirements are met
Develop and maintain detailed project plans for MSSP implementation, tracking progress and ensuring timely completion
Serve as the primary business operations point of contact for the MSSP partner
Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks in the implementation process and devise strategies to overcome them
Provide regular updates to both internal stakeholders and MSSP partners on implementation status
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with MSSP partners.
The skills you’ll bring include:
8+ years of experience in strategic account management
Experience in working with MSSPs, with a strong understanding of the unique needs of MSSPs
Strong account management skills with experience in managing partner relationships
Strong project management skills
Solution-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
