About the Role
Reporting to the Director of People Strategy (based in the UK), the Lead People Strategist will act as a key strategic business partner across our APJ business to build key people initiatives and partner with leaders and staff on both day-to-day people issues and strategic initiatives while working in a rapidly growing fast paced environment.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, laser focused on understanding the business priorities, our culture and our people's challenges as we scale, and will work to build solutions that will enable our employees to have the most productive and satisfying work experiences of their careers.
In this role, you will:
Be the primary People Strategy point of contact to the teams you support (primarily located throughout APJ)
Be the people expert, working closely with managers and leaders as they work on growing and developing their teams.
Partner with managers and leaders to proactively diagnose and communicate trends around people and team issues (ie engagement, retention, collaboration) and support the development of solutions to address them
Act as a coach and partner to managers and leaders to strengthen and support their skills in performance coaching, handling difficult conversations, get well plans and employee relations challenges (in compliance with local laws).
Partner with People Strategy leadership team to drive the execution of the employee lifecycle - including performance management, merit and bonus planning, promotions and internal transfers and exits/terminations.
Deliver with a consistent focus on building a high-performing culture of growth and development through effective leadership, communication and feedback
Collaborate with People Strategy team and business leaders to ensure that employee initiatives are in line with and reinforce our company’s culture and core values

Proven experience working in People Strategy/HR, Organisational Development, Talent Consulting or a related field
Passion about understanding and optimising the day to day experience of our people, and are their to help guide our employees through their journey
Experience coaching managers, managing challenging team dynamics and building alignment through effective communication
Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders
A natural influencer and problem solver. People are comfortable around you, want to follow your lead and hear your perspective
Approaches challenges with a learning mindset - you are not afraid to try something different and learn from your mistakes
Handles ambiguity well – actually thrives in it
Experience working on a multinational/global level is highly advantageous.
