Intro and job overview:

Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. This is an 8-week program that begins June 10th and concludes August 2nd. This opportunity is 100% remote preferably located in the eastern or central time zone. The Professional Services Project Manager Intern will work closely with the professional services team working on projects related to the implementation and configuration of Precisely’s software products.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring timely execution and delivery of project milestones.
  • Organize and attend project meetings and events, assisting in creating meeting agendas, notes, and follow-ups.
  • Develop an understanding of the financial oversight of projects, timelines, and resource forecasting.
  • Learn how to monitor project performance, oversee budgets, and adjust project schedules as needed.
  • Learn about and support status reports regarding project milestones, deliverable dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration to drive project success.
  • Contribute to project planning and scheduling activities, helping to optimize timelines and resource allocation.
  • Overcome challenges utilizing critical thinking and creativity to overcome obstacles and ensure project success.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare insightful reports for Customers.
  • Assist the project managers in identifying project scope, risks, constraints, dependencies, assumptions, and deadlines.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Understanding of Project Management and Customer Service Principles.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and follow through on multiple tasks.
  • Effective planning and communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to multi-task on assigned work.
  • Self-starter with a passion for learning who is unafraid to ask questions and comfortable escalating issues.
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills. • Self-directed and able to make independent decisions as needed.
  • Positive and open to an ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and social skills and capability to interact well with diverse personalities.
  • Microsoft suite proficiency (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Teams, Smartsheet).
