Job Description

PROGRAM COORDINATOR, CUSTOM PROGRAMS, MIT Professional Education (PE), to collaborate with colleagues, program director/s, staff, faculty, clients, and vendors in the delivery of world-class professional education programs to companies and individuals.  Will handle applications and coordinate admission of enrollees; organize, execute, and/or supervise program delivery logistics; develop and manage expenditure budgets; negotiate vendor contracts for a range of services; conduct and collate participant survey results; generate specialized reports; evaluate, recommend, and implement operational changes/enhancements for future programs; participate on cross-functional project teams; and provide support to other PE programs as needed. 

MIT Professional Education (PE), in the School of Engineering, offers a suite of education programs and modalities to serve the continuing educational needs of global professionals.  

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; at least two years of academic administration or business experience in a client service setting or project management role; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; attention to detail; knowledge of monitoring finances; excellent project management and written and verbal communication skills; strong Microsoft Office skills (including advanced-level knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint) and proficiency with video conferencing. Seek a proactive, team-oriented problem-solver who can prioritize/track multiple simultaneous projects, is willing to learn, and can perform duties with minimal supervision.  PREFERRED: experience in professional education; cultural awareness and experience collaborating with people from different countries; familiarity with Google Docs, Quip, Slack, Salesforce, and SAP; cross-cultural communication skills and experience working in global environments; and ability to speak other languages, preferably Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French.  Job #22587-6
