ezCater’s Security and Compliance team has two main responsibilities. The first is to provide the tools, expertise, and services that enable ezCater engineering teams to safely pursue business objectives while maintaining an appropriate risk level. The second is to ensure that policies and controls of the security program are continually met.. As a key manager in this domain, you will be partnering directly with key Security, Engineering, Legal, and Finance leaders to establish the foundation for an entirely new era of growth.
What You'll Do:
Lead an exceptional team of security-focused software engineers and security analysts by creating clear outcomes, an environment for the team to creatively build solutions, and removing any impediments.
Develop the roadmap for the security team that aligns with the overall security strategy and optimizes for overall value delivery of your team.
Drive the development of ezCater’s security platform with the Security Engineering team while supporting the Risk and Compliance team as they manage ezCater’s security and privacy compliance with SOC 2, PCI, and relevant privacy laws such as CCPA.
Develop robust customer relationships with other ezCater engineering teams to understand their security challenges as well as the effectiveness of tools, services, and best practices offered by the Security team.
Leverage your technical expertise and communication skills to collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams in the organization to influence our systems and roadmaps.
Operate with scale and speed determining the ideal development lifecycle, technical design, and approach for new and existing solutions.
Instill best practices for software development while delivering high-quality work by fostering pragmatism and urgency.
Own vendor relationships and budgeting requirements as needed.
What You Have:
A passion for building and growing high-performing teams, prior management experience, and a desire to be an impactful leader.
3+ years experience as a manager in cybersecurity in an engineering focused environment.
In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and regulations such as NIST, PCI, CCPA, and SOC 2.
Proven experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity policies, procedures, and strategies.
Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring the performance metrics for our applications and systems.
(nice to have) Relevant certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
Goal orientation and a record of success leading engineers.
Curiosity and a desire for building products that matter.
A sharp mind, a soft heart, and a large funny bone.
The national cash compensation range for this role is $176,000 - $221,000.
