Role overview

CarGurus is looking for a Senior QA Engineer with a strong test background in CRM/ERP or enterprise applications stack (e.g., Salesforce eco-system, Zuora, Marketo, NetSuite, or equivalent), Quote-to-Cash (Q2C) and billing processes, system integrations and associated End-to-End (E2E) workflows.

What you'll do

  • Define and execute test strategies/test scenarios/test cases daily to assure quality across CarGurus enterprise applications, including but not limited to Salesforce, Zuora, Marketo, and NetSuite.
  • Perform a wide range of testing such as E2E, functional, exploratory, regression, smoke, black-box, and data to ensure that implemented features are free of bugs, reliable system integration and business processes are not broken.
  • Analyze business requirements and assess the relevance of specifications and test cases.
  • Produce detailed documentation write, build, or review automation test UI scripts for E2E testing.
  • Collaborate with other QA engineers to help plan and test new and existing features, design, implement, improve and optimize automation framework.
  • Collaborate with other teams (Engineering, Product Management, Sales Operations, Finance) to ensure quality in delivering timely new releases.
  • Work hand-in-hand and advise software developers engaged in the design, coding, reviewing, and testing of enterprise software.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
  • 3+ years of QA experience working with cloud-based CRM/ERP technologies or enterprise applications stack (e.g., Salesforce eco-system, Zuora)
  • 5+ years of overall Automation experience, preferably in Java
  • Solid experience in writing and building E2E automated scripts across integrated enterprise applications, using Selenium for cloud and web applications or another open-source automation framework
  • Experience building automated scripts using commercial automation solutions is a plus
  • Experience with REST APIs and UI automation testing is a plus
  • Solid user of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and Ci/Cd (Jenkins, GitHub, Git)
  • Strong familiarity with object-oriented design, databases and web technologies (HTML, browsers, JavaScript, web services) Apex, SOQL, or any Salesforce-related developer technologies experience is a plus.
  • Good understanding of SDLC, Agile
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to switch gears in a fast-moving environment
  • Creative with a desire to learn and take ownership
