This role will entail being on the front lines of customer acquisition and overall customer service to automotive dealerships across the United States. The Business Development Representative will be strong at presenting CarGurus offerings and benefits with the utmost professionalism via outbound activities. They will also be strong at qualifying inbound lead flow - asking inquisitive questions about a dealers business objectives, strategies, and willingness to purchase a market leading product. This particular set of reps will be focused on helping our inside sales organization add net new rooftops by prospecting and sending leads from accounts outside of assigned books of business (CG API).
As an inside sales position, it is critical that candidates be able to manager their own time effectively, and exceed key performance metric benchmarks on a monthly basis.
What you'll do
- Cold Calling available dealerships (non paying) in both independent and franchise segments
- Qualifying and Calling paying customer base for digital deal meetings/interest
- Working open leads from various sources - dealer account requests, marketing campaigns, digital deal

This is an entry level sales role. We are looking for motivated individuals regardless of professional background. These individuals should be trying to grow their career with CarGurus and be willing to put in the work in the BDR program to earn a promotion in 12-18 months.
