We are seeking a highly curious Business Intelligence Analyst with exceptional technical expertise in SQL and experience building enterprise-grade data products. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, driving strategic decision-making, and optimizing business performance.

We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys working through complex challenges in a fast-paced environment, and has the professional experience to work with a range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to data engineers.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Utilize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.

  • Leverage statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to build data products to support the management of our business

  • Translate complex data findings into clear and concise insights to support strategic decision-making.

Strategy Development and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and formulate strategic initiatives.

  • Work with our business intelligence team to scope, implement, and validate data models that will support a broad range of analytics efforts

  • Assist in the development of business strategies and recommendations to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure business performance.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.

  • Identify areas of opportunity and risk through ongoing analysis of internal and external data sources.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and dashboards to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Clearly communicate complex data insights in a compelling and actionable manner.

  • Collaborate with management to develop strategic narratives and presentations for executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • 2+ years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or strategy consulting roles.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or matplotlib/seaborn.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to distill complex information into actionable insights.

  • Solid understanding of data architecture and how to organize a data warehouse to facilitate an easy-to-use analytical environment.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fully remote environment.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Programming skills in Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.

  • Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics.

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and tools such as R or SAS.

  • Background in management consulting, strategic planning roles.

  • Experience managing analytical projects
