We are seeking a highly curious Business Intelligence Analyst with exceptional technical expertise in SQL and experience building enterprise-grade data products. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver who will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights, driving strategic decision-making, and optimizing business performance.
We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, enjoys working through complex challenges in a fast-paced environment, and has the professional experience to work with a range of stakeholders, from senior leadership to data engineers.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Interpretation:
Utilize SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
Leverage statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to build data products to support the management of our business
Translate complex data findings into clear and concise insights to support strategic decision-making.
Strategy Development and Implementation:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and formulate strategic initiatives.
Work with our business intelligence team to scope, implement, and validate data models that will support a broad range of analytics efforts
Assist in the development of business strategies and recommendations to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization:
Design and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and measure business performance.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of strategic initiatives and provide actionable recommendations for optimization.
Identify areas of opportunity and risk through ongoing analysis of internal and external data sources.
Reporting and Communication:
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and dashboards to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Clearly communicate complex data insights in a compelling and actionable manner.
Collaborate with management to develop strategic narratives and presentations for executive leadership.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
2+ years experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or strategy consulting roles.
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or matplotlib/seaborn.
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
Solid understanding of data architecture and how to organize a data warehouse to facilitate an easy-to-use analytical environment.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fully remote environment.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Programming skills in Python for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning.
Experience with machine learning algorithms and predictive analytics.
Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and tools such as R or SAS.
Background in management consulting, strategic planning roles.
Experience managing analytical projects
