athenahealth Enterprise Financial Management (EFM-IDX) business is looking for an experienced Software Engineer responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting software application for Group Management (GM) product.
In this position, you will be responsible for designing and programming a small module or a large component, designing a feature, or set of features. You will work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business.
The Team: Group Management is a proven solution that automates today’s increasingly complicated processes involving patient access, billing, collections, and business reporting – making practice job easier, so they can focus more on what matters most: the patients.
You are a C developer who are well versed in back-end technologies and savvy about building highly efficient large-scale applications. you must be able to direct and train a set of Junior developers to groom their capabilities. You are a tenacious, but nimble learner, who demonstrates design & engineering excellence
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to accurate, unambiguous technical design specifications to the appropriate detail
- Deliver customer value in the form of high-quality software components and services in adherence with RPR policies on Security, performance, longevity and Integration testing
- Estimate the size of development tasks in story points.
- Understand and follow coding conventions, architectures, and best practices
- Write, debug, and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes
- Learn the domain knowledge for area of assignment
- Take ownership of what the team builds after the release; consider customer adoption as success criteria
Typical Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in an engineering role
- Experience in an Agile environment preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
- Significant software engineering skills and computer science experience
- Experience of programming language C is mandatory
- Experience of Unix/Linux is mandatory
- Experience of Shell Scripting is mandatory
- Experience with object-oriented programing
- Exposure to Perl scripting is appreciated.
- Knowledge of JavaScript and/or Angular are added advantages
